The Powder Monkey is a combination of a bar, club, and lounge all in one! Set in the heart of London's mini scene, Greenwich, the Powder Monkey has a great deal to offer to everyone. Each floor is individually designed to create a contrasting space and use with this in mind, creating a versatile venue whether it's daytime drinks or a night time party you're looking for.

As you come in through its wide double doors which fold open in the summer, you will instantly begin to feel the atmosphere and vibrant nature of the bar. With the video jukebox playing out a mixture of old and new, reasonable drink prices, top DJ's playing most nights and a happy "hour" between 5 and 8 everyday, we're sure that every visit to the Powder Monkey will always be fun and enjoyable.

3 floors of style! Each floor has been individually designed with its own bar serving a full range of premium beers, and spirits alongside cocktails served on the main bar and an extended cocktail list on the lounge bar.

The Venue

The Powder Monkey is a completely redecorated bar in a building that was formerly known as The Cricketers Public House built in the late 1700's. Situated opposite the grand buildings of the University of Greenwich and just down the road from Greenwich Park, The Powder Monkey is in a prime location. Each floor was designed by Llewelyn-Bowen and Associates to create as versatile and diverse a venue as possible. From the Main bar on the ground floor, dance floor on the 1st floor and the Lounge bar at the top, the Powder Monkey has something for everyone.

Main Bar

The ground bar is decorated with bespoke hand drawn wallpaper outlining detail of architecture around Greenwich. There is plenty of seating, comprised of red leather banquette seats and velvet covered stools. The main floor also features an up to date video jukebox and cocktail list served every day.

Dance Floor

The dance floor on the first floor is decorated with reflective black and silver wall paper and a perimeter table surface around the whole room. Seating is also available in the form of pink and maroon bar stools. The DJ booth is fitted with high-tech decks and a complete JBL sound system, with strobe lights, mirror balls and light scanners making the dance floor the ultimate place to party until the early hours.

Lounge Bar

The most premier of the floors, the lounge bar situated on the second floor with the feel and comfort of a V.I.P lounge without actually being one. Comfortable seating is in abundance with glitter top tables. Music features a mixture of chill out and trance and the room is kept cool with windows and air conditioning. The aubergine coloured walls and circle textured carpet, velvet sofas and armchairs makes for an incredibly chilled out comfortable area. The lounge bar also offers an extensive cocktail menu with an impressive array of spirits, liqueurs and aperitifs. May it also be said that the Lounge Bar is a non smoking area.
